And technically, that's also wrong. Originally, "Gulasch" comes from Hungary. In hungary this is called "pörkölt" (means roasted) and hungarians say "Gulasch" to what germans call "Gulasch soup".
Came here to say that. It's been a couple years since I lived in Germany, but I can still remember Inglourious Basterds: "Für kleine Max, nur das Beste"
